My exp with the Samsung R451C

Been a month with the Samsung now. I have no problems with the service of StriaghtTalk. I suggest it it for any one that talks, texts, or mobile surfs at any time. They have "All you need" which are based on monthly mins, and UNLIMITED both : 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. Version is the parent corp so the coverage is excellent. The only thing I don't like it that you can't buy tones, pics, and games from your phone. You have to get on a computer to do it.




My beef is with the phone, itself : Samsung. From the start I'm an LG fan, but I'll list the reasons I bought it, knowing with it has.





Better speaker

Better camera

Bigger screen

Easier moblie web surfing

Keypad

Vioce command. THE TOOL OF BOSSES!

Various other features, as listed on the box.

The phone i have is quiet sturdy.

A glossary for codes on the phone.

A loop big enough for charms (unlike my LG).

Now here are the things I don't like, that people don't seem to bring up in reviews.



It doesn't easy scan texts. Like, you can't press a key over, and go to the message in your inbox.

You can't surf with the phone not unfolded with the keypad out.

The phone lacks call and callback options. The only options it will jump to are texting.

You can only send one pic pre text. I reveal that's on alot of upgraded phones, but I don't like flooding peoples inbox with 1 pic at a time. That's annoying to both of use!

You can only set up the 3 alarms.

It comes with very stupid, and very FEW ringtones.

Only 2 phone "Themes". Black and White. Samsung, there are more colors than that. If you're going to go out of your way to make theme, make some themes!

THIS PHONE COMES WITH NO GAMES! No maze, tetris, pacman, any other lil thing you can think of. Nothing. Honestly, if I had known that I won't have bought it.

It doesn't relate numbers. If you have the number in your phone without the area code, when it calls the name you have won't come up. It will be the number WITH the area code.

It doesn't show the name OR number of who you're receiving a text from. That feature comes in handy when you have someone that sends you unpleasant things via text. It's good for avoiding normal chainmailers/ spammers, or just someone you don't want to talk to in general at the moment.

Only hold up to less than 70 texts in inbox and outbox.

The phone doesn't have a "zoom in" function on pictures.

When you set a picture you took as the wallpaper it doesn't let it cover the whole screen.

No folder options for pictures or sounds. Having the pictures all in one piles annoyes me more than it should.

You can't costumize hot-keys and/ or shortcuts.

No different contact list view options. I'm one for seeing the name and number(s) all together.

Only 1 page pre text, and the character limit is 160. It's not the character limit that's trobuling, it's the one page text. That's bull, to me. Having to send, and restart is a bigger hassle for me, than the normal texter. I don't use much net-slag or skip words. I have actually converAsations via texting, at time as well.

No multi select options for anything - texts, pics, etc



I'm thinking that some function are lacking ,because I've yet to put a memory card in the phone. I'm not sure what those features are yet, but I'm hoping it will do some unlocking, because of the new space available. This phone might be getting replaced late next year or early year after next. It has too may "don'ts and doesn'ts" for things that I think should be normal features.



But don't worry. Out of all the other little convinances(?) it lacks you can have up to 999 speed dails. If you're well known enough with 999 people to have them on speed dail, you're set.



PERSONALLY, I'll take 5 - 10 speed dails for games, easy scroll in my inbox, better call and call-back options, being able to zoom in on pics, have folders for pics, and being able to see how texting me before I read the text.



It's like Samsung had in mind to make the phone itself with as little pizzazz and personality as possible. My next phone will hopefully be an LG or a Moto.For Moto they'll have to get over that damn razor craze. You think they would've made some new phones BY NOW. Striaght Talk came out with a new phone right before I got mine, and 1 right after. If they can keep that up, and get more lgs, and other brands I'll be flooded with options, just the way I like it.

Firstly, I have to start with the victums. I know it's a really hard feeling to take, as i was once a victum. However, whenever I see someone go off in a big tangite about how the "hate people", and they're going to or they want to "delete everything in their gallery" I can help but want to slap them. My first inconuter with an art thief was IN REAL LIFE, and it was one of my friends. She not only traced my stuff, but she edited things I gave her, and said she did the whole thing all together. I was very upset with her, and didn't talk to her for weeks afterward. Things didn't turn violante, and I'm still friends with her today (that was YEARS ago). I never cursed humanity for it, nor did i threaten to throw away all my stuff, or quit drawing.



When someone steals your stuff over the internet it shouldn't be THAT much of a surprise. It's the interenet, with the open freelancing of EVERYONE in the world having access to what you post. You have every right to be upset, but being immature enough to throw insults at the general public is a big shame on you. By deleting your stuff you're punishing the honest people that enjoy your stuff and WON'T steal from you. By quitting your craft you're only hurting yourself. That's one less reason to your life. It's just some idiot on the interenet, so stop acting like your life is over. What's really annoying are the people that reload everything very small, and too heavily watermarked to see. There's no point in posting something people will hardly be able to see. No matter how you look at it, blowing it out of proportion makes YOU look bad. If you're faith in security is so head-strong why trust the internet, in the first place?



Let me tell you something about art thieves, having been face-to-face with one: Pity them. Think about why people steal, in the first place. They're are very reasons, but when you're the victum you don't think about the desperation behind the act. It's something they could be doing just because they can, but maybe it's someone with very low self-esteem, and just wants to feel good at something. The best thing you can do is warn others. If they stole from you they'll most likely steal from others, so inform the masses to be on the look out.

While I'm here I may as well give a real update. Still looking for work, cooking ,and cleaning. I messed something up mother wanted me to get, but it would've benefited her more. Let's just say I have my baist areas, as well. I can deal with things in general life, but there are some types of people I'd rather not have daily contact with. Than I would've had to go ACROSS TOWN to get there anyway. It was a janitoral job, so I'm kinda miffed about missing it, but there are various elemens of it that show it's for the best. The job is also an an airforce base, and I don't want to get into all that fed mess. Their background checks are VERY extandive, and if they search me on the interenet I might get in more trobule (under their terms) than worth it. I'm at the library next to something I'm going to apply for, anyway. It will be in food service, but that's better than what mother was tring to push me into.

I got my GED!

I'm so happy! I'm filling out order papers for a grad ring, and dipolam cover. Now I need to think about college. I'm thinking about taking cooking. I asked a friend what they do at his community college, and I was surprirsed at how fast I was to pick cooking. I love art, and I'm never going to stop drawing and creafting, but I just don't want to go to a professinal school for it. I'm not going to a job related to it. I don't do so well with the pressure of perfection, deadlines, and drawing things i don't like. I might do that mail order thing on TV, but drawing is for my enjoyment.

I told ALL MY FRIENDS, but I haven't told any family, yet. I don't think they'd care much, but i might mail my grandma. The friends i heard back from are proud of me. OThers are having phones problems, as am I. When I get off this prepaid train my problems will be lessened.

Now other stuff.

I've gotten hold to some anime movies from the library. I watched Tokyo Godfathers, and Paprika. Non- anime, I watched Milk. I hate I'm missing Fullmetal Botherhood, but if it does well enough CN will play reruns. Damn comcast boundling is what keeps us off. If one gets cut off, so does the other when it's boundled, so we're stopping that. We might go back to AT&T for interenet. We can't get satillite here, so we don't have a choose that matter.

I've been tring to get on at Johnny's Pizza House fr about a week now. They keep saying they'll call me back, but don't. Fuck it. I'll go to Wal Mart. I just don't want a job where I have to put on any steel-toed boots, for a while, at least.

I heard about the "Vampire" running for President. Firstly, Twilight isn't the cause of problems like these. You're giving it WAY too much credit. People are just fucking insane. Welcome to the NEW sicoity(?).

Mother's gone to Jacksonville, FL, to see what's going on there. She'll be back Sunday or Monday. THAT MEANS I CAN DRAW ALL DAY WITHOUT HER YELLING AT ME ABOUT IT! If she likes it, we're moving there. If she doesn't she's going to look at Tulsa, OK. Either way, if she likes better there then here she might quit her job. The future is always unclear.

I can throw tags, too

I read about the guy that got arrested for having loli manga, in which in lolis were victum of rape, and proforming beastiality. The asshole pled guilty, and got somewhere around 10 years, in guessing. It's fucked he just pled guilty, like he did something wrong. The guys in jail are going to think he really did something and try to kill him. He's going to do 2 or 3 years because of the threats, if they can get him out before he's dead.

The last time this happened a few years ago it's like no one cared, but everyone is running scared, and reforming all sorts rules and whatnot. Even Rule 34 (the site, for those you that don't know there is one) is seeming like they're taking down some content, but it's Rule 34 so that's up in the air. I remember someone commenting "This is just one of those things that's a shgock at first, but then everything will go back to normal." I don't know if they'll be a "normal" after this. The reason why THIS story is so big is because the guy had so much of the content. But really, what were the police there for? Did somebody rat out his stash, or what?

What's biting my butt is how everyone is running in far of a goverment WE'RE suppose to be in control of. The man went to jail for COMIC BOOKS! I'm the only person pissed off an innocent man went to jail, which is agianst the consitution?! Isn't this a law Bush made? Isn't that good enough reason to argue it?
