Homosexuals are everywhere! Including Shreveport, LA!

Homosexuals are and everywhere. They are people. They are your parents, siblings, cousins, old friends, new friends, neighbors, church members (yes, they are), doctors, lawyers, and EVERYTHING else! Who are you, or who is anyone to say they don't deserve the same rights as you? What do you lose or gain from someone just being counted as normal a long side you? This is America, damn it! We're not suppose to be ashamed or scared of being who we are BECAUSE of where we are!

The repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell is a big step, but one big step isn't nearly enough to show that bigotry is no longer acceptable in this country! Louisiana, itself, has A LOT of issues to work out, but we need to see that discrimination is one of them! Don't accept being pushed around for your race, gender, or sexual orientation! Rolling over doesn't change anything! You know how to raise hell when something's wrong with you pay/ child support check! You really raise hell when someone messes up something of your outfit! Raise hell when someone at work/ school calls you a "faggot"! Raise hell when you know you didn't get hired/ promoted, because you're a women! Challenge it when that racist judge tries to throw your black/ Latino/ non- white (or vise versa situation) ass in jail for 5 years over a misdemeanor crime.

And stop hiding!

GAY PEOPLE: Put that nice picture you paid at least $50 to have professionally taken of you, your lover on your desk! When ask you who it is you say "My better half!", or brag! They talk about how they spend the evening with their spouse! When they ask you, talk about yours! They asked, right? If you don't WANT to share, because you don't want those back stabbers in your business that's fine. Just don't hide yourself for who you are!

You not a Christian? Don't go out without your stuff! Crosses don't mean anything! You know who else wears crosses? GANG BANGERS! Wear your Pagan/ Wicca star! Wear your Buddhist charms! Wear whatever else it is you wear.

When someone says "I'm gay/ bi/ etc" it's not a request. It's not a question. It's a statement. "I'm [insert what you are here]" so deal with it!

The time for fear is OVER! The time for change is NOW! You're still having the same fight that started in the 70's (as far as I know), and I have to take part in it now! Things are getting better. At least now, it's acknowledge it's illegal to KILL someone for sex.ori. Instead of people getting "slapped on the wrist" they're getting the same jail time any other murderer gets! I, personally, am still not satisfied, and I won't be until I can married whoever I want in the "Land of the FREE!" And I can sue anybody that refuses to marry me if I choose someone of the same gender.

You're a human being, and your life has value! ACT LIKE IT!
